Speaker Bio:

Marjory Ross (Marji) is a seasoned and successful leader in the publishing industry and the treasurer and secretary of the Luce Center's board of directors. For nearly two decades, she served as President and Publisher of Regnery Publishing, the nation’s leading publisher of conservative books. She joined Regnery in 1999 as vice president and general manager, and took over as President and Publisher in 2003, making her the first person outside of the Regnery family to hold that post. During her tenure (1999-2019), Regnery placed more than 85 books on national bestseller lists, including 14 titles at #1.

Under her stewardship, Regnery doubled in sales, with parallel growth in influence and number of titles. She oversaw the launch of several successful imprints, including Regnery History, Regnery Kids and Salem Books (a faith-based line of books), as well as the rebirth of Regnery’s historic Gateway imprint. Marji worked closely with many of Regnery’s most high-profile celebrity authors, including Newt Gingrich, Dennis Prager, Dinesh D’Souza, Mollie Hemingway, David Limbaugh, Laura Ingraham, David Horowitz, George Gilder, Mark Steyn, Eric Metaxas, Ann Coulter, Second Lady Karen Pence, President Donald Trump, and William F. Buckley Jr.

In 2020 she founded Marji Ross Consulting, a boutique consulting firm for celebrity authors, media companies, and thought leaders, helping them conceive, create, publish and promote their books for maximum impact. She specializes in nonfiction books, with particular emphasis on current events, military history, faith, overcoming adversity, leadership, and business.

She is a frequent speaker for both the conservative movement and the publishing industry. She serves on several boards, was ranked one of the 100 Most Influential Republican Women in 2017, and was named the Luce Center's Woman of the Year in 2005. Marji has three daughters, and she and her husband live outside Charlottesville, VA.
